More proof the Utah school system sucks

Justin was working late tonight and I decided that I wanted some curry. So driving down State St, I notice a couple of food stands:

Local Fruit Stant (just say it out loud before you spray paint, guys)
Shave Ice (is that a suggestion?)

I'm in a bad mood because David Tennant just announced he's leaving Doctor Who.

Pictures Galore

I got Liam's yearly pictures done. I really liked them this time around. I had half done in his hanbok, which the photographers LOVED. They told me they wanted to enter his photo in a contest and had me sign a release form. Since it's JC Penny's, I think their "contest" is the pictures that appear on their coupons and ads. So keep a look out for Liam's picture!

Our little pumpkins

My sister in law and I took our kids to a pumpkin patch where she took some pictures. Here they are (Liam is the very dirty pumpkin on the left):

Whining and tagged

I'm going to whine for a bit.

I HATE being pregnant. I hate being fat, the morning sickness and nausea, the doctors appointments, mood swings, the aches and pains, and everything else that comes with it. Any woman who says they love being pregnant either have easier pregnancies than me, or are deluding themselves.

I'll continue whining for the next five months.

I was tagged by my friend Chelsee.

1. What was I doing 10 years ago?
Was in 8th grade in Mountain Ridge Jr High. That year didn't suck quite as much as 7th, but I didn't like that year either.

2. What are 5 things on my to-do list today?
1. Take shower
2. Help Justin clean up the water in the basement because the water heater exploded yesterday
3. Toss in a load of white laundry to soak
4. Clean the bathroom
5. Grocery shopping

3. Snacks I enjoy:
Gummi bears, seaweed (for which Justin thinks I'm crazy), anything caramel, double churned ice cream

4. Places I've lived:
Seoul, Singapore, various cities in Utah

5. Five things I'd do if I were a billionaire: (Questions like this reminds me of The Standard of Living by Dorothy Parker)
1. Pay off credit cards and student loans
2. Set up Liam's and future baby college funds, life insurance policies, and 529 plans
3. Buy new stuff for future baby despite the fact nothing is wrong with our current stuff (I know-wasteful!)
4. Buy a house.
5.
Max out Justin's and my 401K's for the next forty years

A List of 8:

8 TV shows I love to watch: (the fact that 8 was not enough makes me want to rethink my tv habits)
1. Law and Order (original and SVU)
2. Heroes
3. Doctor Who
4. Privileged
5. Burn Notice
6. Arrested Development
7. Torchwood

8. Monk

8 favorite places I love to eat:
1. Thai Chili Gardens
2. Olive Garden
3. Myung Ga
4. Taco bell (mmmmmm, 7 layer burritos)
5. The Old Spaghetti Factory when they used to have mulligatawny
6. Arby's purely for the curly fries
7. Chili's
8.
Wingers

8 things that happened yesterday:
1. Water heater exploded
2. Took Liam out to the swing set
3. Made grilled cheese
4. Liam ate half my dinner
5. Cowboys lost to the Rams (hey who said it had to be about me?)
6. Richard Blackwell died (I personally don't know what I'm going to do without his worst dressed lists)
7. The cats got stuck in between the newel posts to the banisters
8.
Read three books to Liam because that kid loves the books

8 things I look forward to:
1. Having more than two bedrooms
2. Buying a house so I can actually paint the walls and not have to live with someone else's stuff
3. Not being pregnant ever again
4. Finding out the gender of the baby (eventually, stupid doctor's policy of not looking until after the 21st week)
5. Being out of debt
6. Christmas
7. Snow
8. Did I mention not being pregnant
?

8 things on my wish list: (Aren't all of these questions the same?)
1. A house
2. Federal Platinum by Lenox
3. A nice, modest maternity evening gown (need one for Justin's work thingy)
4. Healthy baby
5. Trip to Europe
6. Fixing the bumper of my car
7. A Sony Viao CS with BlueRay disc playback (really stretching here, I know)
8.
The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman

8 people I tag: No one.

Does that make me a foodie?

I've wondered recently why so many pregnancy websites and books compare the size of the fetus to food. Maybe it's just me, but I don't find it particularly helpful and a bit odd. Then today I find this website.

The War-drobe

It snowed yesterday. SNOWED. It's not even half way through October, and it's that cold. Which makes me realize that there are some serious holes in Liam's clothing selection. Like he has no coat and only three long pants. So I have to go shopping for my kid. At least I have the satisfaction of knowing he won't outgrow them in a couple of weeks like he did a year ago.

Pregnancy-wise I started to feel better, but I don't know if it's stress or I've been sick, but the past week I've been feeling like crap again. To the point that I was on a liquid diet for a couple of days. I'll see if I've managed to gain any weight on Wednesday. When I was pregnant with Liam, I got yelled at by the nurse because I lost a couple of pounds for the first few appointments. We'll find out what it is in about a month. We already know it only has one head.

I'm grumpy

I'm in crappy mood. Here's a blog to just reinforce my opinion of the human race.

The freakin' creepiest thing I've ever seen

I find most of the dolls that people collect really unsettling. I have a few dolls myself, but I don't display them and most of the them have sentimental value. However, I don't think that M. Alexandria comes close to this.

I'm so proud of myself. Today I managed to play through the entirety of George Winston's version of Pachelbel's Canon. It wasn't even remotely close to up to speed or without mistakes, but hey, I've never gotten that far before.
