And now you're even older!
I have some what of a macabre sense of humour. Today I found a Death Calculator that calculates the time you have before you die based on your age and BMI. Apparently, I have 59 years, 9 months and 23 days left, or 1887488884 secs left. .......1887488879..........1887488878............1887488877.

On a happy note
More Yachats pictures!

The kids were watching my brother and dad play a game called Time Bandit. It's a old game that garnered a lot of popularity on the Atari. I remember being equally mesmerize when I was a kid too. The geekiness spans multiple generations in my family.

The Heceta Head Lighthouse located over what used to be the Devil's Elbow park/beach (which one was it?). It's one of the more recognizable lighthouses in the world. We used to walk up to it every time we visited the beach, but after a few years we allowed inside for tours. This year, however, I stayed outside while Justin took the tour. He'd never seen it before and I tend to get vertigo due to acrophobia and didn't want to drop Liam. That would be bad.

I don't like you; you don't like me. Can't we just get along?
One of the things that I can't stand more than anything else is hypocrites. When I don't like someone, I don't pretend to be nice to them to their face and then smack talk them to everyone else.I went to a baby shower on Saturday. I was not in a great mood because of a bunch of other crap that had happened earlier that day. So I decided to be quiet so I wouldn't snap at anybody who didn't deserve it. However, there was this girl there that I don't get along with so well. It has a long back story, but for the most part, I just ignore her so I don't make a scene. However, she felt the need to compliment me on my shoes and dress and wouldn't go away. Not only that, but her daughter tried to gouge out Liam's eyes and I yelled at her to leave him alone while her mother did nothing. But apparently behind my back this girl has felt the need to tell everyone that I'm conceited and pretentious because I grew up with a "privileged" childhood. Okay, yeah, so my parents took care of me and made sure I was fed and clothed, but I don't remember any silver spoon or servants around. But I've been accused because I went to private schools (up into the fifth grade) and think that I'm better than everyone else. Okaaaaaay...... I went to private schools because there is no public schools for ex-pats overseas. However, when I moved here, went to public school just like everyone else. And when did going to private schools make someone think they are better than everyone else?
Okay, so the point that I'm trying to make is not all the (wrong) reasons that this person thinks that I'm conceited, but the fact that she's friendly right in my face. I wish that she would accept the fact that I'm not fond of her, I know she knows I'm not fond of her, and stop being such a hypocrite.

Yachats
So I know that we've been home for a month already, and everyone else has blogged about this, but I couldn't write about it without pictures. Our camera was on the frizz most of the week, so here are some pictures courtesy of my mom.
Dramatis Personae

We bought this toy as a reward for Liam being good on the trip. He barely let Justin put it together before snatching it out of his hands.

There was a jetted tub in my parent's bathroom at the beach house. We let Liam play in there. He had a grand ole time.
We went to the aquarium in Newport. Among the other sights was a kamikaze harbour seal named "Spot" who would throw himself against the window with gay abandon to try to get to the kids.

Liam loved the touch pools. He, however, thought petting the rocks was more interesting than the actual creatures.

This is one the funniest things I've ever seen. If you can't read it, it says
"In loving memory Manja Geier nee Moravec died in this place September 13, 1997 surrounded by family and friends at her granddaughter's wedding." How'd you like to be that granddaughter? "Hey remember the time Grandma snuffed it at your wedding?" I think that reaches new lows of wedding guest rudeness.

An update to say there is no update
Just writing with news to say there is no news. Liam is still crawling like a maniac, but not walking yet. It's hot, but that's expected. I don't really have any new projects yet. The house is a mess, but then it usually is. I'll post pictures when Justin finally gets them up on the website.

I'm going to hide under a rock now
Is any one else sad that June is over because I sure the heck am not. Unfortunately, July isn't looking any better.
There were some parts of June weren't that bad. The week in Oregon was fun other than backing my brand new car into a planter that was inexplicably in the middle of the parking spots. But this month has been one fun stress fest with trying to get all those bridesmaids dresses done with stupid people not coming for fittings, moving and cleaning, unpacking, and then, oh, some more cleaning. And on top of all this, Liam got a really bad cold and cough to the point that I thought he might have whooping cough (I'm still not sure that he didn't).
Other sucky things about this month are finding the computer dead after coming home from Oregon, trying to get the freezer fixed and finding the cabinet on top of it pulling completely off the wall, trying to catch up on all the finances, and, oh yeah, saying good bye to my parents as they set off for Korea for three years. Sigh.
Maybe things will look better next week. If not, I might be forced to run off to Timbuktu.
