I did eventually find some fair trade clothing that didn't break the bank from Overstock. However, I did discover that the average hippy much be much skinnier than I am, because I have to lose a few pounds even before the largest size will fit. Sigh.
Because I'm leaving for Vietnam and Singapore in 10 days, and because I had approximately one pair of pants that fit, I went clothes shopping on Friday. Here are a few thought that I had:
Holy cow,
Alderwood Mall is HUGE. Like, combine both University Mall and Provo Town Centre together to make a super mall, and then add an outdoor terrace. I got lost. Multiple times.
I went into the Disney store to see if there was anything I could find for Alana's birthday and the Disneyland trip later this year. Oh my, Alana would probably have a small coronary in that store. It might be worth taking her there later just to watch.
Forever 21 is evil. So is H&M.
There are a few fashion trends that I can totally get behind. Colour blocking? Awesome. Peplums? Flattering to every body shape. However, what's up with all the neon clothes this year? Every store that I went to had racks of clothes that made my eyes hurt. And you want to know who neon hues look good on? No one, that's who.
Polyester needs to go away. Seriously.
