So along with Alana's crazy evil laugh, lately she's taken to tying shoelaces around the neck of toys and hanging them off the loft. And I'm not talking about wrapping the shoelace around a few times and seeing if it sticks. These are complicated, intricate, make-a-boy-scout-cry type of knots. But I'm a little worried because she doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon, she laughs maniacally every time she does it, and she goes specifically for the neck.
My mom will, however, regale you with stories of when I was about four and I would tie ribbons into knots too. She kept a hank of ribbons on my bed knob so I could tie them together to my heart's content before falling asleep. And I turned out okay, right? Right?!? ...crickets...
