Pictures Galore July and August

There is nothing quite so beautiful as a sleeping child.

Liam decides the dog's bed is his.

Some of Liam's first steps.

When I started to get morning sickness, sniffing a lemon was one of the things that kept my stomach calm. Strange I know, but recommended by a pregnancy site. Liam loved to steal it and start chewing on it.

Merry Christmas

It is good to be children sometimes,

and never better than at Christmas,

when its mighty Founder was a child himself.

The problem of pain

Is a book I've never read. I probably should.

I'm in serious PAIN. The scary huge steep driveway at my parent's house is not fun to try to get snow off of. Because Justin was at work and I had Liam, it didn't get plowed until seven at night. After the tenants had decided to drive over it about six times. Parts of it were so packed down there was six inches between the plow and concrete. So I got out the shovel and tried breaking up most of the ice so Justin could get up the driveway. As a result, I've strained my back and pelvis, can barely walk and Justin ended up having to park at the church after he got stuck on the road and had to have four neighbours push him out because our street has never been plowed by the city. I am no longer in love with the snow.

Whose cuisine will reign supreme

I was writing out my shopping list for Christmas dinner, so I naturally turned on the Food Network. The Iron Chef America was on with the episode of Batali/Ray vs Flay/De Laurentiis. I noticed a disgusting habit of Giada De Laurentiis. Every time she dishes out a dollop of something (she was filling ravoli), she LICKS her finger off between scoops. Am I the only one that thinks that absolutely gross? Maybe it's my recent bought of food poisoning that's tainted my opinion.

103 Posts! Wohoo!

I notice that my 100th post was about three posts ago. So here's the ever celebratory 103rd post.

Today Liam figured out how to climb up on the last type of chair that was stymieing him-the folding chair. Which means that no table nor high surface is safe anymore. And thanks to my mother-in-law, Liam loves to climb around on the table. I'm trying to stop him of that habit.

We're also going back to baby boot camp. Due to the food poisoning last week, and some other random things like it's cold, Liam is wanting to sleep and nap in our bed. I've been listening to him scream for at least three hours every day while we have the power struggle of the century. But I'm determined to win!

I mussa have some of that mussaman curry

I don't know what it is about pregnancy, but I always crave curry. Strangely enough, with Liam it was curry AND ice cream AND strawberries all at the same time. When we lived in Holladay, we were fortunate enough to live right by a Laotian restaurant, so it was always easy to my curry fix. So I decided to try a Thai restaurant that got really good review in the newspaper. As always, I got the mussaman curry. Sadly, the potatoes were underdone, there were a ton of bay leaves in it, it was extremely mild, and there were nut crumbs in it. I think that I am going to have to stick to the Thai Chili Gardens.

Food Poisoning

So one way to keep your weight under control during pregnancy is contract a horrific case of food poisoning. Justin and I were both down on Wednesday, and have been recuperating ever since. I do feel intensely guilty because Liam knew something was wrong but didn't understand why Mommy and Daddy were being so BORING and slow to respond. Although, it's probably best that Liam start understanding that I can't respond immediately to every whim.

Tonight I need to finish my dress. I'm having some friends over to watch Anne of Green Gables since I just read the book.
